Our dedicated team and board of trustees work tirelessly to offer vital services and programs through our three individual centres: Friendship House, Te Whare Awhi, and Creative Huntly. Friendship House
Friendship House serves as a cornerstone for community engagement. It offers a variety of services including:
Educational Workshops: Regular sessions on topics ranging from financial literacy to health and wellness.
Social Groups: Safe spaces for individuals to connect and share experiences.
Parental Programs: Activities and mentorship opportunities for parents.
Te Whare Awhi
Te Whare Awhi is a nurturing environment focused on cultural and individual growth. Key programs include:

Community Kitchen: A space for shared meals and cooking classes, promoting healthy living.
Creative Huntly – Te Whare Toi o Hakanoa
Creative Huntly is a hub for artistic expression and innovation. It features:

Creative Workshops: Sessions in various art forms including painting, sculpture, and music.

Assessment
Raahui Pookeka Community Centres Trust is offering free healthy home assessments to whaanau in Raahui Pookeka.
We will come to your home, and give practical advice on where changes can be made and also what other services may be able to offer assistance.
Fruit & Vegetable Co-op
Food Together
$15 gets you a bag full of seasonal, fresh fruit and vegetables!
This is available to anyone and you can order as many as you like.
Pick up from Friendship House each Wednesday, with orders needing to be made and paid for by each Monday.
